The iEdison website allows for the reporting of inventions and
patents supported by funding agreements to any federal agency as required in the
Bayh-Dole Act and regulations stated at 37CFR Section 401. Use of iEdison streamlines
the reporting process for those reporting data and provides the requisite confidentiality
for all information pertaining to invention reports by ensuring that only authorized
users are allowed access to their records.
Your activity while using this site is not anonymous: to protect the site,
NIH tracks the IP address and login information that is used for access, as well as the
individual pages you visit. Information that is gathered may be made available as described in
SORN 09-25-0036, or, subject to the provisions of the
Freedom of Information Act 5 U.S.C. 552.
